UMassFive has opened its newest branch at 465 N. Main St. in East Longmeadow, expanding its local presence and bringing its personalized financial services to even more individuals, families, and businesses throughout the Pioneer Valley.
The East Longmeadow location is UMassFive’s seventh branch and second in Hampden County, joining its existing location in the Mercy Rehabilitation Building in Springfield. While the new branch marks UMassFive’s continued growth in the region, its connection to Hampden County is well established: the credit union already serves more than 6,800 members who live in Hampden County, with more than $311 million in active loans helping local people and businesses achieve their financial goals.
“We’re delighted to officially open our doors in East Longmeadow and become even more involved in this community,” said Lauren Duffy, President & CEO of UMassFive. “We’ve been meeting the financial needs of local people for nearly 60 years, and this new location allows us to bring that commitment even closer to those we already serve in East Longmeadow and the greater Springfield area, while welcoming new members to the credit union.”
UMassFive is a not-for-profit financial cooperative owned by its members. The credit unions roots in higher education continue to shape how it approaches financial service and education today.

The East Longmeadow branch team is led by Branch Manager Will Wilcox, who brings more than nine years of credit union experience to UMassFive, including experience in financial coaching and community outreach. He is joined by Lead Member Service Specialist Nia Recchia and Member Service Specialists Danny Albizu, Jessica Donais, and Jowayne Cargail. UMassFive Wealth Advisor Sam Einzig will also be available at the branch on Tuesdays to assist members with retirement planning and investment needs.

Community Invited to Grand Opening Celebration
UMassFive will celebrate the new branch with a Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, September 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 465 N. Main St. in East Longmeadow.
The community is invited to stop by, meet the East Longmeadow team, and join in on the celebratory festivities, including a WMAS live broadcast, giveaways, face painting, local mascot appearances, snacks, and more.
The family-friendly celebration is open to the community, and everyone is welcome to attend.
